How much would you spend to save a life?
Every 25 seconds in the United States, someone has a coronary event and every minute, one American dies from a heart attack.
While the emergency services in our town are fantastic, only the Police have an average response time to emergency calls of less than two minutes. Our Police Officers are already in the field and ready to respond, they are CPR certified, and trained to deal with life saving situations. Having an AED on hand at the scene, will give our Police Officers a definite edge in saving the life of a citizen who could be your neighbor, a friend, a family member or maybe even yourself.
On June 13, 2012, the Simi Valley Police Foundation Board of Directors has proudly approved the “Save a Life” AED program to purchase 43 AED units and carrying cases to outfit our Patrol cars and Motorcycles with this critical, lifesaving device. AEDs have repeatedly proven to be the difference between life and death to a person suffering a heart attack. This program puts the right equipment in the hands of our officers who are trained and able to respond in the least amount of time. So that brings us back to the original question…
How much would you spend to save a life?
The Simi Valley Police Foundation is looking for your HELP to raise the needed amount to fund this project. A $1300.00 donation towards this life saving project will enable us to purchase one AED unit and hard carry case which will also house a CPR mask, Triage Kit, and First Aid Supplies. With your generous donation, we will include an invitation for two to our SVPF Annual Gala Dinner.
Alternatively, if you wish to make a donation in any amount towards this “Save A Life” AED program, we kindly accept your generosity in any amount you wish to donate: $500.00, $250.00, $100.00, $50.00. $25.00 or less…
Thank you, in advance, for helping us make Simi Valley safer.
